1. Introduction
Rocket Launch Studio LLC ("Company", "we", "our", "us") publishes this Chrome Extension Policy for our internal Chrome browser extensions used by Rocket Launch Studio employees and authorized personnel. It supplements our general Privacy Policy at rocketlaunchstudio.com/privacy. These extensions are not intended for the general public.
2. Products Covered
This notice applies to the following Rocket Launch Studio Chrome extensions:
- Rocket Launch Studio Theme: Visual branding for Chrome browser chrome only. Does not collect or transmit personal data.
- Rocket Launch Studio New Tab: Custom new tab with company search, quick links, a Frequent sites list based on Chrome browsing history, and optional crew workload metrics when you sign in with your work Google account.
- Rocket Launch Studio Time Tracker (when published): Workforce time tracking for Rocket Launch Studio employees. A separate policy update will describe its data practices before general release.
3. Information the New Tab Extension Processes
When you use Rocket Launch Studio New Tab, the extension may process the following information:
- Browsing history (Frequent sites):
- The extension reads sites you have visited in Chrome (roughly the last 28 days) to show a Frequent shortcuts list on the new tab. This history is processed on your device through Chrome APIs and is not uploaded to Rocket Launch Studio servers for this feature.
- Visit frequency data (on-device):
- Derived locally from history and stored in the extension's browser storage to rank Frequent sites. Not sent to Rocket Launch Studio servers.Google account (optional sign-in): If you choose to sign in, the extension uses Chrome identity to obtain your work Google account information (such as email and profile details) so you can load your personal crew workload metrics from company-controlled systems.
- Search text and UX preferences: Text you type in the search box may be sent to Google for autocomplete suggestions; searches open in your browser. Dismissed welcome messages, recent searches, and similar UI state are stored locally in your browser profile.
4. How We Use Extension Data
We use extension data only to provide the user-facing features described on the extension's Chrome Web Store listing and in the extension interface. We do not use extension data for advertising, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers.
- What we do not do: We do not sell or rent personal information from these extensions, use browsing history for advertising, or share extension data with third-party data brokers.
- Third-party recipients: Google (identity, search suggestions, and fonts loaded from Google Fonts). Supabase-hosted services operated for Rocket Launch Studio (optional signed-in crew metrics only).
5. Third Parties & Google Limited Use
Google provides identity, search suggestions, and related APIs used by the New Tab extension. When you sign in for metrics, requests go to company-controlled Supabase services that verify your Google token server-side. The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Retention, Security & Your Choices
On-device extension data remains in your browser profile until you clear extension data or uninstall the extension. Metrics stored on company systems are used for workforce operations. Network calls use HTTPS. Uninstalling an extension stops further collection by that extension. These extensions do not collect payment card data.
